Bug Description
I have a potentially long running process that validates a users email account credentials by authenticating with the IMAP/SMTP servers before saving the account.
How should this process be displayed? The user doesn't need to (and probably shouldn't anyway) interact with the UI at this point, but it's unclear on how this should be done.
Should we use a dialog with an activity indicator/progress bar in the centre? Or should it be located in the same view as the action was initiated and disable all input until complete? Or something else? :-)
