Considering that apps do not have the possibility to gain permission to keep the screen on (e.g. Navigation app), it would be usefull to have an indicator entry which provides a fast ways to keep the screen on. So in fact it just sets the screen lock time to never temporarily.

Situations when I would use such switch: when reading something long in a browser or an ebook reader, having a photo opened as a reference when I'm drawing.
Currently I use Active Screen app which disables screen saver for it but simple switch would be better.

I think this is a good idea.

But it is also necessary a reminder (i.e. by a sound or/and an icon) that you have this feature activated.

perhaps a top bar color change as well, much like n active call - you could see your screen is set to active I use active screen as well, and think this is very useful as a feature.
