To test on a desktop system you can install the ubuntu keyboard by running

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-keyboard ubuntu-keyboard-english

Then to run with extra debugging info from the keyboard run:

MALIIT_DEBUG=true maliit-server

And start the webbrowser via the command:

QT_IM_MODULE=maliitphablet webbrowser-app
