Bug Description

OSK should be dismissed if the user taps outside an input field, or navigates away to another screen.

It works fine in the browser with when tapping away from the URI bar onto the screen on:

Can you add steps to reproduce where this is the case? Also add build information and hardware,
Build information can be captured by running:
adb shell cat /system/canonical_stamp

It's most likely that different people need to fix depending on the steps you write down.

OSK should be dismissed when input is complete, app changed view

to reproduce :
launch telephony
navigate to contacts
focus text input field

op 1.
swipe from left edge for launcher
launch music app
OSK is not dismissed though a new app was launched

op 2.
swipe through right edge
switch to previous app
OSK is not dismissed though a new app took the focus

op 3.
swipe through top edge
select indicator menu
OSK is not dismissed though indicator menu took the focus

the second issue "or navigates away to another screen." has been fixed, should land soon.

The first issue is up to the app: when clicking elsewhere from the input field, it can unset the focus, e.g. using an inverse mouse area as e.g. the search lens does. When the text input field looses focus, the osk goes away.

Thomas, what's the latest status on this? Is the fixed committed and in the daily build to test?
