Bug Description

This may lead to an SDK change, but I'll use the webbrowser as a specific target in case it doesn't.

When trying to do edits on the address bar it is really hard to go to the far left without bringing in the launcher, and it's really hard to go to the far right without erasing all the text.

e.g.;
- Start typing www.faceook
- Notice the 'b' is missing
- Use your patience to land the cursor in between the 'e' and the 'o'
- Type the 'b'
- Go back to the far right to continue editing.
- Start over since you hit the x by mistake.

I think all this would be easier if we could add in another text editing feature that would move the cursor on swipe (like the terminal). I'm leaving this here in case another path is taken to resolve.

Definitely a general issue in the UITK, I’m re-targeting at the ubuntu-ui-toolkit project.

The swipe is not really a good way to scroll the text as any touch on the text area causes caret positioning + text selection to happen (as selectByMouse is true by default). However introducing caret handlers would do the job.

Marked as duplicate for bug #1183257 as by solving that we will have the positioning/cursor moving solved.
