Anchoring to null when resizing Ubuntu UI Toolkit gallery on desktop

When I start the Ubuntu UI Toolkit gallery (./gallery.sh or from QtC), and resize its window to have proportions similar to a phone (narrow, high), I get the following warning (r503):
