Bug Description

xine-ui 0.99.3-1.2 (amd64, Dapper) crashed with SIGABRT when i try to seek (for-/backward) through *any* movie (divx, xvid, mpeg...). Occasionally it also aborts with the same error when xine-ui tries to play a file, however i'm not sure about the pattern there: divx5-file_A plays fine, divx5_fileB plays not...dunno. anyway, xine-ui crashed with these messages on the console:

% file file.avi
RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 512 x 384, 29.97 fps, video: XviD, audio: MPEG-1 Layer 3 (stereo, 48000 Hz)

% xine file.avi
This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.3.

and here's the backtrace:

could you please retry with current version? now, we have 0.99.4 in dapper. Perhaps it is a xine-lib issue anyway.

unfortunately I'wont have access to a ubuntu/amd64 (or even i386) installation for some weeks now, so I can't comment on this one right now. but of course I'll check out new versions if available.

thanks,
Christian.

I'm sorry for not telling you earlier: I cannot reproduce this bug any more, because I don't have access to the amd64 box where the the bug occured. please close the bug as non-reproducible (if nobody else whines).

Thank you for your time,
Christian.

(as soon as i get my box back, I'll instantly install xine and see what it gives :))
