Bug Description

I started ubuntu-tweak from the command line as my normal (non sudo) user ...
The interface come up perfectly, and all looked good. I clicked on 'Compiz settings' under the Desktop header, and it immedialted pulled up the "crash screen and brought me here when I said I'd like to help.

I'd happily give you any info you need, run strace, debug or whatever, just let me know :)

Hi, Please tell me whether you're using the Compiz 0.9.2.

Yes I am. I used to use 0.8.4 ... but a synaptic upgrade took me to 0.9.2.1-0ubuntu3. IT totally broke compiz too.

So it seems you are using the Compiz PPA, please go to "Cleaner" to purge the PPA and downgrade the package to normal version.
