Cannot set scale "initiate_all_edge" option, ubuntu-tweak crashes on it

i have an unsolved post in ubuntuforums.org:

Scale plugin works in general, but the "edge option" doesnt respond, ubuntu-tweak gives error by trying to get into "Compiz" section settings and does not give any access to its settings.

Any idea why is this ?
[i tried reinstalling compiz - no use...]
