Bug Description

Application randomly halted and reported an error. I had made some changes far earlier in the session, but was not doing anything particular at the time of the crash. It said something about a "malformed OpenOffice" [probably repository indicator].

I'll see what I can do. I'll try to replicate the bug tomorrow. It happened on another system. There are some confounding factors involved as well that I should note. I am running the development release of Ubuntu (10.04 Alpha 1). I have the most up to date from the PPA, but it's of course for Karmic--not Lucid.

I will see what can be done, but the problem may be external to the program itself. I haven't experienced any incompatibilities with Karmic and Lucid as they're essentially the same due to the less aggressive stance with which a LTS release is built upon versus other standard 6-month cycles. To be sure, when I selected the third-party repositories they attempted to load Karmic repositories and failed (in part--not completely; partial information was inserted into the third party repos). So perhaps there is a line of code that pulls the Ubuntu version that "welched"?

In short, this bug may be not a bug at all. But there still might be an opportunity to improve/strengthen the code as to how it is pulling and inserting data related to the release version.

I clicked on the "Security" tab. This time it happened on Ubuntu 9.04 w/Tweak version 0.4.9.2
