Bug Description

I have a chroot jail which I use to program in, which crashes reliably after alt-tabbing. Here is what I've figured out so far:

if I manually type the chroot command "sudo chroot ./", then I can not recreate a crash

if I take that exact same command (all extra commands, ie bindings, removed), then the crash occurs after typing in a separate window, returning to terminal, and then pressing enter.

occasionally the terminal displays a prompt indicating it's no longer in a root environment (phablet@ubuntu-phablet), and occasionally pressing enter will rotate between a normal prompt and a root prompt(root@ubuntu-phablet). I don't know yet what causes the difference, but if I type a single character and press enter the terminal will crash again.

So... to reiterate condtions:
enter chroot via shell script
alt-tab, type, alt-tab back
either instant crash, or type then crash
