Bug Description
I have seen multiple users who weren't able to find out about the two finger scroll gesture. [1][2]
In my opinion there should be a small tutorial explaining this gesture when starting the app for the first time.
[1] One example, even though from the time when scrolling would allow you to scroll the bash history: https:/
[2] One more recent one from the ubuntu-phone mailing list: https:/
UX Fix:
The design team has created a spec for coach marks/instructional overlays. This can now be applied to the terminal app by development: https:/

This also applies to the "Tap the screen for TAB key" shortcut.

I raised this bug's importance as I see more and more people who struggle with this, especially after the latest update when the scroll gestures were changed.

FWIW I only just now found out that there's a two-finger scroll gesture when I came here to file a bug about there being no way to scroll back in the terminal.

@Matthew I have now kind of given up hoping for some suggestion from the design team after asking them multiple times in the past. So sad...

I think it's necessary to add a tips when you first run the terminal, advising the user about the available gestures.
I tried several times to hide the keyboard or scroll, without success, so I think it's necessary a tips message, because right now it's not intuitive how to do this.
Thank you

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

This should probably be addressed once bug 1464566 is fixed.
