Bug Description
On #65 Mako pressing the "k" or "w" keys will make previously entered text (up to any whitespace) temporarily disappear.
To reproduce:
1. Type "abcdefghij"
2. Type "k" and note that all previously entered text disappears
3. Type "l" and note that the text reappears
4. Type a space followed by "abc"
5. Type "k" and note that the text after the space ("abc") disappears.
The same can be reproduced using "w" instead of "k" on the device.
One interesting thing is that this behavior can also be seen while running the app on the desktop, but only for the "w" key. The "k" key doesn't appear to produce the same behavior.

I can't reproduce 'k', but I can reproduce 'w'. And 'R'. Using ubuntu-terminal-app on the desktop.
