Bug Description

This has the potential to skew statistics.
For example from week 42: micahg (c) (u): pidgin-skype 20110407+svn612+dfsg-1.1, 877109, 876656, texworks 0.5~svn939-2, whysynth 20090403-1.2, dsc-statistics 201106061022-4, ffmpegthumbnailer 2.0.7-2, libhtml-popuptreeselect-perl 1.6-5.1, ristretto 0.1.1-1, aeolus 0.8.4-6

All the uploads were syncs by me from Debian using the LP API (in the guise of syncpackage)

This sounds like a LP problem to me. You are mentioned in Signed-By in https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/precise-changes/2011-October/000658.html for example. I'm not quite sure how to work around that.

The spnsoring-stats aren't part of this project. But I agree with Dholbach. I was looking at those mails the other day, and realised that they don't match the format of the Archive Admin syncs.

Is there an LP bug that we can make this a duplicate of?

I think we need a consensus that there's a problem here, first. We discussed this on #ubuntu-motu the other day, but didn't get anywhere...
