This situation has occurred on my phone too. BQ Aquaris E5.
Change was shortly after a reset of the phone as most web related processes appeared to be very buggy and crashing.
Still frequent crashes of browser when following links from Face book App
But no return of 'greet' screen or method to turn it 'on' again, or replace it with some other info screen
