Bug Description

The app is not playing any music whatsoever (I've tried .ogg, .mp3 and .m4a). It will find the music and list it in the app, but will not play any song for a single second. This is on a Nexus 7 on OTA-8.

This problem has been persistent on OTA-6 and OTA-7 as well, and on the rc-proposed channel as well, at all times. I have attached some log files and please let me know if you need anything else.

Hi, Ashwin, I responded earlier to your questions in the mailing list. I would have liked to help you debug this further, but I was unavailable. I apologize. Thanks for taking the time to file this bug and for helping to make Ubuntu better.

Could you share the output of the following two commands--I'd like to determine if the media-hub service is running/installed:

status media-hub
apt-cache policy media-hub

Thanks!
