Switching the camera from rear to front to rear facing causing the controls to disappear

Bug Description

What happened:
1) Start the camera app, note the contols at the bottom (video mode, capture photo, switch camera)
2) Select switch camera to change to the front facing, note the controls are still there
3) Select switch camera again to switch back to rear facing
4) Notice that the controls have disappeared and that the user has to touch the screen for the controls to appear again.

What was expected:
At step 4 for the controls to be visible

Basic standalone program that reproduces the issue with the MediaPlayer:

It breaks the same way with a Camera element instead of the MediaPlayer. It only breaks on device, not on desktop with X11.
Bug is or starts probably somewhere in QDeclarativeVideoRendererBackend.
