Mediascanner throws runtime exception when playing local video file from qml app

Bug Description
When running the attached app on mako, the following error is produced
Doing a mediascanner lookup of file: "///home/
Caught runtime exception from mediascanner: Could not find media ///home/
However the application runs just fine on desktop.
Steps to reproduce
1. josh@localmachi
2. phablet@
Expected results: video plays
Actual results: media scanner cannot find video
Feel free to try running on desktop with
$ qmlscene active-app.qml
and observe expected behavior

This is not really an issue as it doesn't actually affect anything. I'll be completely refactoring this code in qtubuntu-media when delivering the full background playlist experience. Marking this as triaged though just so others can track my progress.
