Bug Description

If you add a feed, add it to a topic, remove feed then topic, and add them back again, the topic shows the message "there are no articles to show" even if you tap on the refresh toolbar button to refresh and get the feeds back.
To reproduce the bug:
- add feed: http://www.canonical.com/rss.xml and add it to topic "CanonicalTopic"
- remove feed
- remove topic
- close rssreader-app
- open rssreader-app again
- add feed: http://www.canonical.com/rss.xml and add it to topic "CanonicalTopic"
- you will see the message : "there are no articles to show"
- open toolbar press refresh
- you will see the message : "there are no articles to show"
- open toolbar press refresh
- you will see the message : "there are no articles to show"

After having pressed the refresh toolbar button I should expect the feeds to come back.

Can't reproduce it, after adding feed I always can see articles.

Hi Carla, are u testing with the latest version? on desktop or device ? Neither do I reproduce this bug ..

Hi Joey,
Yes I had the latest verision, I had just merged the branch before trying.
I test using desktop and I used: autopilot launch -i Qt qmlscene ../../rssreader-app.qml
I will try it on a device though.
The bug is not just adding a feed, but adding a feed, adding this feed to a new topic, removing the feed, removing the topic and then putting them back again.
Anyway I will this on a device and let you know.

Hello, on a device it works, it looks like a desktop issue.

Impossible, difference between device and desktop can only be in SDK
components behavior,
but not in app's logic (like Database operations and so on).
BTW, I've tested it on desktop too.

Maybe description is wrong?

I have recorded a video on what happens, it's attached.
If you do the same the test does in the video by hand launching autopilot launch -i Qt qmlscene ../../rssreader-app.qml you have the same problem.

I found out how this bug comes out, after removing the feed ant topic, you have to close rssreader-app and add feed and topic after having re-opened it.
Doing this makes the bug happen also on the device, see attached screenshot-1.

I have found out what the "real" issue is.
When you enter edit feed, you used to have a delete button for deleting the feed, now there is a "Done" button, pressing this button, though deletes the feed, at least it looks like it does.
So if you do what I did in the video, that is entering in edit feed, pressing this "Done" button, the feed looks like it's deleted (or is deleted) then you delete topic, if you quit rssreader and insert the feed and topic again you get the situation I opened the bug for.
Hope I was clear.
Anyway I fixed the autopilot test to delete the feed by swiping now.

Thanks for the update, maybe that's a bug of "edit feed", the done button makes the feed "disappear", but the feed is still exists in database.

Lol, on my eyes "Done" button removed feed, of course we can't reproduce
it,
because I and Joey tried to remove it in normal way (via swipe).

Joey, seems that your management logic is wrong, can you fix it? :)
Or I should take this one? :)
