Bug Description

In raring final beta, I tried:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins

then, that error appears:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins : Depends: qtcreator (= 2.7.0~rc1-0ubuntu1~raring1~test7) but 2.7.0-0ubuntu1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

The Qt Creator 2.7 final with the plugin was uploaded to Ubuntu on Thursday. The plugin name changed to "qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu" in the archive review, so the instructions at http://developer.ubuntu.com/get-started/gomobile/ are wrong.

Furthermore, the 'ubuntu-sdk' package in raring got an update today that installs this new plugin package to everyone. Therefore, just "apt-get install ubuntu-sdk on raring is enough. In the future there may be again some Ubuntu UI Toolkit updates for 13.04 users after its release, so keeping the SDK PPA enabled is not a bad idea, even though strictly not required.

David: can you update http://developer.ubuntu.com/get-started/gomobile/ and remove the " && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins" from there?

Changed in ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins:
assignee: nobody → David Planella (dpm)
status: New → Confirmed

I removed now also the obsolete qtcreator raring package from SDK PPA, which may prevent apt from correctly picking up the Provides/Replaces: ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins from the new qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu package.
