Crashed when starting pitivi.
The application looks like it was starting with the GUI, but then crashed before the whole window could be drawn (or so it appeared).

Yeah, after every start of pitivi it will just do the above. This is on ppc64 on the PS3 - doesn't do it on AMD64, don't know about i386.

That's a pretty niche machine and architecture to run pitivi on :) it sure doesn't happen on x86 either.

I won't be able to help on this, and I somehow doubt pitivi devs will be able to do much either, with so much other stuff on their plates.

Well it's not just the PlayStation 3, it will be all ppc64 machines, the PS3 is just one of those.

The problem seems to be with mixer.py , specifically the gst.GhostPad function, which is part of gstreamer. Other than that I don't know.

This is a gstreamer bug most likely. Could you file it upstream (on the gstreamer bugzilla)
