I really have my work cut out getting the kernel and install stuff sorted and probably won't get to desktop stuff. Note if you're running any custom build of the kernel that could be why the restricted extras package isn't available. Hopefully we'll have a working (enough) kernel in the beta where we'll be able to confirm this issue for sure. Cheers Dan | ||

Cheers Dan | Ok got Bob Dylan blaring through my TV right now, and he got there via the magic of MP3 and Rhythmbox which auto-detected the MP3 format and helped me search for the correct driver (gstreamer ugly I think). So I think we can call this solved. It was probably due to incomplete work on these packages in Ubuntu proper rather than a problem with the PS3 port. |
