Hi

Today I tried with disabling the SAN disks and tried Installation. It went fine and took less an half an hour for installation.

But that is not the recommended process.

With disks its not suppose to take more than an hour.

Please have a check on this

Hi Lekshmi,

Are you able to reproduce this defect while installing 16.04.2 ?

Thank you.

Canonical has no environment to reproduce this problem. If IBM were to profile this and give us some targeted fixes, we could consider them, but we do not have the resources to commit to investigating this bug.

If this can be reproduced with MAAS, then it might indicate a kernel issue. Otherwise, we suspect a performance issue in d-i's disk detection/handling code.

Could you please try reproducing this with the 16.04.3 -hwe kernel and produce this behavior ?
