Bug Description
Raw install of 16.04 on HP 8100 Elite SFF with 16Gig RAM and 1TB drive. Has APC UPS connected via USB. After reboot run software updater to pull down 400+Meg of updates. During application of firmware update "battery critically low" message pops up and machine shuts down leaving it unable to boot.
After a wasted Sunday trying to get around this found the only work around is to unplug UPS cable for install and updates. Can plug it back in afterwards.
