Bug Description
[ This is possibly more of an RFE than a bug but, since it's rather annoying it's more of a useability bug to my mind. Probably pretty low priority either way. I mainly log it here for completeness and won't take umbrage at it being marked "WONTFIX". ]
If you have a keyboard attached via an OTG cable then onboard should (optionally) be able to spot this and stay hidden when it might otherwise appear. Without this, one needs to quit the application when a keyboard is attached and restart the process when you're back to a more tablet mode.
Alternatively one might simply add an "Active" toggle to its widget menu. This is simpler but still requires manual intervention.

Maybe it'd make more sense for some lower-level daemon to handle this - start/kill (or use D-BUS) onboard when needed...
