Bug Description

When using a synergy setup to make testing easier, I found that when moving my cursor over to the nexus7 screen I could no longer see my cursor. However, I could still click and type.

To reproduce:
1) Install synergy on both nexus7 and another computer.
2) Configure the other computer as the synergy server and nexus7 in a configuration file.
3) Connect nexus7 using synergyc to the server.
4) Move cursor to nexus7 screen.

This looks like a similar issue using a different technique:

I can reproduce this bug using the steps indicated.

http://synergy-foss.org/spit/issues/details/2855/ describes a vaguely similar issue on Mac.

I notice that the pointer does not show up via xinput list on the device, even when the synergy cursor is active. If it did show up, then it might be possible to force the cursor on with an xinput property.

Fwiw, xdotool also fails to show the mouse cursor when it operates. But I'm not certain if that program should or not.

Can someone try this on a different platform or device so we can determine if it's platform dependent?

X86 touchscreen-only device (exo pc) shows the same problem: cursor can be moved with synergy but is visible only if a mouse is attached (bluetooth or USB). There is a similar tool called "x2x", it suffers from the same problem.

This is already filed upstream, leaving it unassigned since it's application specific
