Bug Description
Build Version/Date: KVM menlow update 20080607
Environment used for testing: KVM
Summary: When applets are add to the panel a down arrow appears to highlight that there are other applets available. The only problem is this panel is white not black
Steps to Reproduce:
1/ open alram clock
2/ open liferea
3/ see the down pointing arrow click it see the whiteness of the new panel
Expected result: Black panel to be visible
Actual result: White panel show (please see image below)
