Bug Description
Summary:
When launching an applet the black&white splash screen appears twice. Once in the upper right corner of the screen and again in the center.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Launch any applet
Expected result:
1) Splash screen appears one in the center of the screen.
Actual result:
Splash screen appears twice
