ubuntu mate 24.04 Network Manager not auto connecting to network on startup

Bug Description

Upon logging into ubuntu mate 24.04 on initial startup my Network Manager applet is not auto connecting to the network. If I disable network and re enable network a few times, it eventually connects.

The network was working perfectly well on previous versions of Ubuntu mate.
