font decoration error when window title exceeds window width

Bug Description
I am using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on an Acer Swift 3 with an external ViewSonic monitor. I noticed a font decoration error in the title bar of windows: When the title text exceeds the available width and the text gets faded out at the right end of the title bar, the first letter at the left side suddenly appears highlighted and sometimes it seems as if something else (letters?) appear behind it. I include a partial screenshot from several different program windows, all of them reduced in width to show the error.
