Installation of Ubuntu MATE 20.04.2.0 20210209.1 ends with busybox prompt, system is broken

Steps to reproduce:
1. Obtain latest ISO ( SHA256SUM = ec85f45a8d9f68cd9e9522471621079d2de0d597cd6ec63d29f3986929f920d3 , [Ubuntu-MATE 20.04.2.0 LTS _Focal Fossa_ - Release amd64 (20210209.1)] )
2. Install it
3. Reboot the system

Expected results:
system boots normally

Actual results:
system does not boot shows only "(initramfs)" prompt

Logs from non-booting system are attached.

The hardware is Lenovo SL500:

Looking at the log files list-oem didn't find any packages.
