Bug Description

Hi,

I am using Mate 1.20.1 on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS and encountered a problem after the update of Thunderbird to v.60 with Enigmail becoming v.2.0.9:

- Message decryption inside the preview-windows of Thunderbird worked fine
- Creating a new message will lead to a crash of TB (shutdown, TB asks for a restart)
- I could reproduce the problem with a fresh installation of TB (fresh profile) without any other add-ons installed and also when set to English

Some days I was frustrated and just deactivated Enigmail. Over this period of time, this error did not occur. Now I just notices a workaround: using a flavor without global menu bar.

- Contemporary, Cupertino and Mutiny lead to TB crashes, when Enigmail is enabled and a new window for mail creation is opened.
- I switched to Familiar now, not having this issue any further.

Maybe someone will find this information useful. Also, I don't know whether it is really an Mate-bug, or also valid in other distributions.

Best regards,

albedomanu

+1 can reproduce this bug 100%. Disabling Enigmail allows Thunderbird to compose messages again with global menus.

Tested on Ubuntu Mate 18.04 with global menu.
