Bug Description

System reloaded before sending this error. (Reformatted, clean drive and clean install).

When opening (using any access method, in program open or from Caja) documents in pdf format they fail to load and crash system (recoverable).

In the case of Atril, it just starts, then shows loading, then dies. After some time, the crash logger appears, and it also seems to be in distress, sending out panic messages about inability to set internals in logger (complaining about not able to set options for send/no send, but I cannot copy or paste what it is saying), and unable to determine if the crash daemon is actually sending out anything of use to developers.

Office Draw tries to open, but fails with a general input/output read error, no codes, just a window. If you close the error, the program is still running, but no display of documents.

My current triage (I hate doing it this way) is to use Chromium browser viewer. (Just as a side issue, these things happened both before and after I loaded chromium). I think I saw a system message at one point (been fighting this for three days now) about a libpoppler file either causing or being forced to send SIGTERM signals to the system.

I reloaded the system because of age and upgrades, and thought I may have caused this from an improper (synaptic) loaded program set, but this was not the case.

UPDATE: This problem was caused by the user. I tried to load the 32-bit version of Mate on an AMD64 processor. It should have worked OK, but did not work for me. I just finished the re-load of 64-bit version, and it has worked flawlessly. (I'm a bit low on the RAM hardware side, but I setup the hard drive with a small swap partition, and all is performing as expected.)
