Version 18.04.1 LTS (Bionic Beaver) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 4.15.0-42-generic x86_64
MATE 1.20.1
Caja 1.20.2
I can confirm the bug description. Exactly the same problem I have discovered on my own and also on several other machines since 18.04 LTS. On 16.04 it was still working properly. The address bars of the two columns should work independently from each other, each on its own column, but there is a confusion of unexpected behaviour. I assume all users are suffering from that.
