Wifi Icon disappeared after upgrading to 4.15.0-23-generic

Bug Description
After updating to Ubuntu Mate 4.15.0-23-generic the wifi icon disappeared from the task bar. I have no problems connecting to networks or anything (by going to Network Connections in Control Panel ). I was using the 4.13.something -generic version before.
