Bug Description

It has been tested and confirmed on both Ubuntu Mate 17.10 and 18.04.

CapsLock is reverted in onscreen keybord.
To type a lower case I have to enable CapsLock.
It is a minor but quite anoying bug since my Bluetooth keyboard loses its connection at the login time.

This bug only appears in login screen.
Once logged in,the onscreen keyboard has no issue.

Hello
Thank you for this report.
I cannot reproduce the issue you are describing on 18.04 using French(Legacy) layout and French locale.
Can you please provide additional information about the locale and keyboard layout you're using?

I am using French locale with US layout keyboard.
But it has nothing to do with this issue.

My keyboard is bluetooth keyboard which often loses its connection at login time.
When it happens, I have to use onscreen keyboard to type my password.
(The onscreen keyboard is activated by clicking on the icon in top panel.)

Once I am logged in, the onscreen keyboard functions as it should.
This reversed casp lock problem only appears in login screen.

Just to add a description for the clarification:

What I meant by "reversed" Caps Lock key means that

I have to enable Caps Lock <ON> to type <lowercase> alphabets in the onscreen keyboard.
It should be the other way around.

Since typed password is invidible, there is no way knowing that what I was typing was in wrong "case".

You would encounter this phenomenon when your password contains lowercase alphabet(s).
