Bug Description
Release 17.10 (Artful Aardvark) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 4.13.0-36-generic x86_64
MATE 1.18.0
Memory:1.9 GiB
Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz × 2
Sony Vaio VGN-SZ370P
After Upgrade Via Software Updater (which was problematic because it would not complete downloading the upgrades because the auto update daemon was waiting to stop, clicked stop and accepted a partial upgrade, but after running software center says this computer is up to date) Nonetheless, after restart when the lid is closed the computer suspends, and when waking the pointer is not visible. Strangely enough, the pointer is still there, when I pull the pointer around I'm able to highlight text, etc. Dropping out of desktop to command line and back brings the pointer back.
Cheers! Love UbuntuMATE!
