Bug Description

Ubuntu mate 16.04.3.

Compiz enabled. Redmond panel layout

After booting, when I pressed the meta key in my laptop or clicked the Menu button with mouse click, the start menu is opening in the corresponding position.ie. close to the menu key. Instead it is in exact top of the screen. After a few minutes, it was working fine. This is happening only when compiz enabled.

My feeling is that even when redmond layout with compiz enabled, the system thinks to be in the ubuntu mate layout and after some time it changes to the Redmond
