Bug Description

I've installed Ubuntu MATE 16.10 on my external HDD in dual boot with Windows 10. Usually after I do this, I boot into Windows, write the MBR and add Ubuntu MATE as an entry in the boot menu. It worked flawlessly up to 16.10, but now when I select the Ubuntu MATE entry from the Windows boot menu it gets me to a "Minimal BASH-like editing is supported screen" .

I can't reproduce this. I think what you are describing is the GRUB shell. Can you provide some more details please.
