Bug Description
Hello, I have a newly installed Linux Mint 18.1 MATE, not sure if it works now with Compiz or Marco. Some windows (probably those which an application opens by itself) start minimized. For example, within terminal/gnuplot, I instruct gnuplot to draw a plot, but the plot window does not appear, but I need to click on its button to show it. Several applications show this behaviour, where I wait for a window only to notice after time, that there is a new window button in the panel. Conversely, because of this behaviour, if another window appears maximized as expected but after a while for whatever reason, I am already scanning the panel for a new button.
This is confusing. Is there any possibility od disabling this, i.e. all new windows just start visible?
