Bug Description
Hi
Kudos for Ubuntu MATE 16.10 ! The suspend function now works correctly on my Macbook Air 6.2 Notebook :-)
The function Mouse > Touchpad > General > 'Disable touchpad while typing' is a very good idea, but unfortunately it disables the touchpad for too long. There is a two-second time-out on my system. It's like a bug. I had to disable this function again. Instead I now use the following command in the 'Startup Applications':
syndaemon -i 1.0 -K -R -t
Most people will not know this trick. The lagging touchpad is a bummer on an otherwise very nice distro.
Feature request: Why not provide a flexible disable span from 0 to 5 seconds or so, in 0.25-second steps? Maybe with the possibility to test the configuration before the value is stored? This is just a suggestion. But it would be easy to implement I guess and very effective !
Many thanks in advance for your time.
Kind regards
Urs
