Bug Description
I am using Ubuntu MATE 16.04 with mate xenial ppa. I have made goldendict to start on boot. Sometimes there is a black space below the image on the system tray on the panel. To fix it I need to close goldendict and start it again (or log out and login again).
Ways to reproduce: Radomly (unknown)

The is fixed in mate-panel 1.18.0 that was released in the Ubuntu MATE 17.04 daily images.
