Bug Description

Ubuntu MATE is working good on my acer aspire v5-571 laptop but I cannot shutdown the system. After shutdown I always get a reboot after waiting 4 secs.

This bug effects me too.
Just upgraded on of the machines from ubuntu-mate 15.10 to 16.04. It now does not shutdown. Always reboots instead.
The way to stop it from rebooting is to push a power button while on the grub screen.

PS offtop: Dear Martin Wimpress, thank you so much for your efforts and podcasts (bot JB and Ubuntu podcast)! Love hearing from you every time!

The bug seems to be SOLVED after the last kernel upgrade!!!
I am not very sure about though. Need additional testing.

Current kernel is:
$ uname -a
Linux uhp 4.4.0-62-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 18 14:10:15 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

What about the other affected people?
