Bug Description

You do get to set up the correct timezone during install of Ubuntu Mate 14.10b1.

But to change the timezone later (eg when moving/travelling) I have to resort to:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

Would expect to be able to change via Date & Time Calender panel applet, or from System > Administration > Date & Time, or from Control Center > Date & Time, or ...

You need to install gnome-system-tools.

Thanks for the info. Although I note that it is dropped by Debian Mate team in 1.10 not 1.8.

But if mate-system-tools is dropped, shouldn't gnome-system-tools be part of the Ubuntu Mate 14.10 release? (It was part of the Ubuntu 10.10 experience after all.)

If you dist-upgrade you'll find that gnome-system-tools are now part of ubuntu-mate-desktop.
