TESTCASE 1587 Gigolo should not restart numbering of steps

Bug Description

The testcase for Gigolo (1587) has several parts; each part restarts with the first step as #1. If the tester wants to report something wrong with one of the steps he can not simply say "step 1", he most also add "step 1 of the part about ...".
I believe it would be helpful if each number of each step is unique.

Unfortunately - numbering isn't done manually - but is a product of how we have to write testcases.

example from the beginning of the gigolo testcase:

This test will check that Gigolo can be opened either from a terminal window or from the applications menu

Open a terminal window, type "gigolo" at the prompt and hit the 'Enter' key

Gigolo window opens

Point your mouse pointer to the menu icon and click it

A menu drops down

Navigate to System -> Gigolo

Gigolo window opens

The next group inside
starts numbering anew.

status: New → Invalid

I see. Computer says no?
So if I were to make a suggestion about testcases in general (every step a tick for "success" or "failed") would be a waste of my time? :-(

I'd not be sure how to even achieve that - I suspect that would require changes to the main code for the tracker(s).

Not many people looking at that bit - and nothing much being done.
