Bug Description
Startup disk creator has historically experienced regressions between releases, and is the primary (encouraged) method for users to create a usb disk of a ubuntu image for installation. A basic testcase covering making a usb image, as well as using the persistence option (reserved extra space in slider), and erasing the usb disk in advance of making the startup disk.

You may also want to test the authentication dialogs by waiting to make sure they do not timeout. Especially the authentication to install GRUB as it makes it that you have to do it over again.
