This is a little bit complicated...
On my system:
$ ls -alF /usr/share/man/man1/telnet.1.gz lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 2008-07-06 21:55 /usr/share/man/man1/telnet.1.gz -> /etc/alternatives/telnet.1.gz
$ ls -alF /etc/alternatives/telnet.1.gz lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 38 2008-07-06 21:55 /etc/alternatives/telnet.1.gz -> /usr/share/man/man1/telnet.netkit.1.gz
The manpage for telnet.netkit does exist in the repository: * http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/intrepid/en/man1/telnet.netkit.html
I'm nearly done with a "Full Text Search" feature for the repository. This should turn up all of the near-hits, and should let you focus on the one you want.
