manpage mentions '-debug' as the switch for the 'netplan apply', although the correct switch is '--debug'.
please correct

Checked on 18.04 LTS, plese see the examples below
netplan -debug apply -> empty prompt instead of debug output
netplan --debug apply -> gives the debug output
** (generate:11117): DEBUG: 15:55:28.360: Processing input file /etc/netplan/01-netcfg.yaml..
** (generate:11117): DEBUG: 15:55:28.360: starting new processing pass
....
