Bug Description

OS: Xubuntu 18.04

Tested browsers: Firefox 61.0.1, Chromium 68.0.3440.106

See: http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/

In some recent attempt to reformat the Ubuntu online manual pages, some disastrous decisions were made.

First, the overall appearance of the pages looks extremely childish. As with so many poor UI decisions being made by companies these days, most of the screen is now filled with white space rather than content. This doesn't improve readability, it just makes it harder to locate and read the content as so much scrolling is required. I strongly suggest a redesign that imposes some fundamental readability metrics.

Much more importantly, there is a very serious bug which can be seen in the attached image. The text boxes which contain the section content for the man pages do not wrap the text. The content line lengths are fixed and force a horizontal scrollbar for any reasonable browser width that is not set to full-screen. This makes it next to impossible to read the content as you must scroll back and forth for every line!

When I looked at the manpages using Opera 55.0.2994.44, there are not any scrollbars at all -- neither for the content boxes nor the page overall. Opera scrolling works fine for all other sites I visit.

Please fix this ASAP. Thanks.
