Hi,

I don't remember that this team was ever approved. Croatian LoCo team has only one approved team - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-hr

Ubuntu-l10n-hr team is made of key, approved members of Croatian LoCo team. On the other side, ubuntu-hr-advocates team represents an open team for all Croatian Ubuntu users to join.

If there is need to (re)approve ubuntu-hr-advocates team, please inform me about the date of the next LoCo council meeting.

Cheers.

I just saw the notification that ubuntu-hr-advocates team expired from locoteams-approved team.

Sure once an application has been submitted, but it hasn't so we can't do anything till then. Either submit the application here, or add it to the next team meeting on our agenda page.

Here's the application. I've read that re-approval can be conducted here, via bug report. If this is true, I'd prefer this method because of my very busy schedule.

If you need additional information, I'd be happy to provide it to you.

Hi, Saša Teković,

Usually we place the re-approval applications on the wiki. We like pictures!!

After the application is safely on the Wiki, we'd be happy to conduct
a vote via the bug :)

Have a great day,
Paul

Can I ask why the team is named the way it is instead of Ubuntu-country name ? WE're trying to get all the displayed names on the LD the same ?

I don't see any team reports? Do you have monthly irc meetings? how do you let your team know your progress? How do you organise events and share responsibilities amongst one another

Saša Teković (hseagle2015) wrote :

To be honest, I really don't know why the team is named that way. I joined the team one year after it was founded and I was appointed team owner at the beggining of this year, I think. I never really asked myself this question, but if it's necessary to rename the team, I believe I can arrange that.

We used to have regular monthly IRC meetings, but since we are a relatively small team, we eventually found it very hard to gather all members, or at least majority of them, at the same time. Instead, we discuss things informally on IRC whenever we're available or we use our mailing list (mostly for very important things).

Again, since our team is small, we don't have to spend too much time delegating responsibilities. For example, we have couple of members that are responsible for maintaining the website, forum and wiki, another three members that are responsible for web server and Ubuntu mirror administration, me responsible for l10n coordination etc.

We didn't organize any events for quite some time now (except for online l10n marathon), but we are participating at every Ubuntu InstallFest/release party organized at KSET (electrical engineering student club at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb) where our members talk about new features in the latest Ubuntu release, help new users to install Ubuntu etc. Photos and even video coverage on national TV can be found on the re-approval application.

Well, Once the team name is correct to standard, I would gladly give a positive vote for reapproval, I think it would have to hinge on a promise to try and get in Monthly Reports, It is good for you to share the accomplishments of the Ubuntu-hr team with the rest of the community, as it encourages others to act! Thanks for the hard work you've been putting in as a LoCo, The pictures are awesome. Will check out the videos over the weekend.

Hi,

the team is renamed - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hr
I also took the opportunity to extend team description on Launchpad page.

Let me know if there is anything else I should do.

Cheers!
